National Council of Jewish Women of Canada, Winnipeg Section hosted
citizenship court on Thursday, December 15. Michelle Glass, newly elected co-president (with Cindy Lazar) brought greetings on behalf of Winnipeg Section. Michelle spoke about the over 115 year history of NCJW and its mandate of education, service and social action. She welcomed the over 80 new Canadians that represented 20 countries.
Winnipeg Section has hosted citizenship court for over 20 years.
A reception was held after the official ceremony and refreshments were provided by Wpg. Section members. The members who volunteered and also baked for this were: Carole Gutkin, Carla Goldstein, Louise Raber, Reva Craven, Faye Rosenberg Cohen, Yhetta Gold, Sharon Allentuck, Judy Lipsey, Dee Buckwald, Kathy Cobor and Michelle Glass.
