Faith Kaplan

by Fatih Kaplan, Jan 18, 2012

Approximately  40 people gathered in the Berney Theatre foyer to witness the draw, mostly staff from the various Campus agencies and Gray Academy students. Barry McArton, President of the Asper Jewish Community Campus board conducted the draw, and invited members of the audience to come forward and draw tickets, which were then recorded before being returned to the drum. 33 individuals participated, two more than once, and tickets were carefully noted and recorded before being returned to the drum for another chance.
Amid concerns of a financial loss, the Asper Campus board president announced that 1169 tickets were sold, and that $10,000 would be disbursed to the tenant agencies located at 123 Doncaster Street. All prizes must be claimed by April 18, 2012, and the wine tour must be taken within 1 year.
Winners will be notified by phone today, and then by mail if phone contact is unsuccessful. Winners’ names will be printed in the Winnipeg Free Press,  and the list will be posted on the Campus website:
