WHY I’M GOING TO BUY SEAMLESS UNDERWEAR THIS SUNDAY

By Rhonda Spivak

PROTEST ANTI-ISRAEL BOYCOTT AT MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT CO-OP NOV 29

I have never bought seamless underwear—To be completely frank, I’ve never even known  such a thing exists.

But I’m going to buy my first pair this Sunday November 29 at Mountain Equipment Co-op  in Winnipeg at 303  Portage Avenue between  12-4 p.m., and I’m looking forward to it !!

Why am I going to do this.?  Because on Saturday, November 28, between 1-5 p.m. pickets will be set up outside Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) stores across Canada, including Winnipeg, asking shoppers not to buy Israeli products that MEC sells. These goods include Israeli made seamless underwear.

This picketing is all part of a strategy of Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions  which is designed to illegitimate the state of  Israel.

Guess What? I think a lot of the protestors are going to be people who would like to see the State of Israel no longer exist in the Middle East. I’m guessing they will be “one staters”, those who believe that the State of Israel ought to be dismantled so that Jews can live as a minority in a Palestinian majority, between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean sea.

Of course, the best way to protest the protesters, is to go in and buy up Israeli products, which is exactly what I am going to do. I urge readers to join me.

While I am buying my Israeli seamless underwear, I’ ll likely purchase matching co-ordinates  (since my mother always taught me that matching accessories were a fashion requirement !).  I’ll add an Israeli made seamless tank top and bra, a seamless long sleeve crew shirt, a seamless short sleeve crew shirt,  and seamless women’s long John’s (for those cold Winnipeg winters).

And since, the holiday season is just around the corner, I might even start doing my Channukah shopping at Mountain Equipment Co-op.  After all, what could be a better way of  marking the miracle of Channukah, than by sending those near and dear to me—seamless panties!!!

Oh yes, lastly, I’m going to make sure to wear my seamless underwear on the plane when I take my next trip to Israel. There’s nothing like comfy undies on a long flight!

p.s. I might even send a pair of seamless gotch to Judge Richard Goldstone, except that I’m not sure of his size.
