The Jewish National Fund has a very special relationship with Israel’s Defence Forces. For the 2012 High Holiday Appeal, JNF is committed to building a 5-acre park called Meeting Point Park for IDF Soldiers and their families. This park will allow soldiers completing their compulsory service to meet with their families in pleasant and inviting surroundings; as well as, providing a welcoming area for travelers to rest and picnic.
The park will accommodate up to 200 families at one time. The park will be equipped with green areas, play structures and shaded seating areas. The park will be barrier free for all to enjoy. Building of this park will positively contribute to the development of the Negev; providing employment opportunities and a huge boost to the regions physical expansion and its’ economy.
Jewish National Fund Canada is committed to:
· Providing a convenient venue for soldiers to meet their visiting families;
· Providing travelers in the area with a pleasant green spot for a short rest; and
· Providing personnel, workers and their families in the surrounding communities a beautiful space for their outdoor leisure and recreational activities.
Support from the community will help provide the assistance Jewish National Fund of Canada requires to develop a park outside of the training base city making family visits more meaningful, in addition to providing a “GREEN BREAK” for all to enjoy.
JNF does not wait for miracles… we create them.
