Inviting Nominations to the Board of Directors of the Sharon Home

June 16, 2013

The Sharon Home Inc., celebrating its 100th year of service to the community, operates The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre, a state-of-the-art personal care home.

The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre is the personal care home of choice for Winnipeg’s Jewish community. The Centre celebrates Jewish traditions, holidays, and values, allowing residents to enjoy and maintain a Jewish way of life. The Centre was founded on, and continues to embrace, the core Jewish values of: Kedushah, the sanctity of each person; Derech Eretz, respect for all people; and Kavod, honour due each person.

The Centre requires talented and energetic volunteers who want to make a major contribution to our seniors and are interested in serving on the Centre’s Board of Directors for an initial three-year term, commencing in the fall of 2013.

We seek people with experience in one or more of the following areas: Jewish culture and spiritual care; health care; older adult issues; fundraising; event planning; property development and management; strategic planning, and others. Above all, we aim to build a team of positive, talented people, bonded together by their interest in ensuring that the Centre performs optimally and in the best interests of its residents and their families.

Interested applicants should submit a brief resume and letter to [email protected] by July 10, 2013.

Please put “Nominations Committee” in the subject line. Applications can be mailed or delivered to The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre.
