Adam Bronstone

Message from the CEO of Jewish Federation of Winnipeg Adam Bronstone March 6, 2015

March 6, 2015

Dear Friends,

Today your contribution is needed more than ever! Although in the past, Combined Jewish Appeal campaign slogans have stated: "Now More Than Ever", truth be told TODAY your help is TRULY needed. Recent statistics show that 20% of our community is living in poverty; this shocking reality shows that we are truly living in a "Now More Than Ever" state of existence. The annual campaign exists to help those in need and develop the human and physical infrastructure to sustain our community over the long-term, so that we can all enjoy a vibrant Jewish life for years to come.

Campaign closes on March 31, and for those who have not yet made their donation, it is not too late to do so. For the many people who have already donated, once again I want to say THANK YOU for your gift; for those who have not yet done so, you can donate in person at the Federation office; online through our website here, by mail to C300-123 Doncaster Street, Wpg, MB, R3N 2B2, or by calling 204.477.7428.

Every gift, small or large, counts towards ensuring our present AND our future, and I do encourage people who have not yet donated, to join me and the thousands of others who already have done so, to enable us to not simply exist but to flourish!
We are flourishing, we are alive and…WE ARE LIVE!

After months of preparation and new information, Federation is proud to announce that our new website, which has been on 'soft launch' for some time now, is officially live. Check it out here! The website is loaded with new features and information, and a look that we hope everyone will find more user-friendly than ever before. The site will of course be refreshed regularly with new highlights, pictures, articles and information about Federation activities and events, as well as news relating to the Jewish world, and I encourage everyone to take a look at it frequently. Finally, if you have suggestions for the website, we are always pleased to hear your thoughts. You can send your ideas to our Director of Creative Services, Madeline Lopez Ficher.

As per every month, please consider participating in the many activities that take place in our community through our local partner agencies. Some of these activities for March include:
