Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) members and friends visit the Jewish Homeland on a 10-day Mission: Learn, Love, Live Israel the CHW Way!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, March 26, 2015

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL – Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) is pleased to announce their upcoming Mission to Israel, April 20 to 30, 2015, that will bring CHW members and friends from Canada to the Jewish Homeland to Learn, Love, Live Israel the CHW Way!

Over the course of the 10-day visit, the Mission aims to provide participants with a newfound understanding of what CHW has accomplished in nearly 100 years, while bringing to light the challenges that face the Jewish community in Israel today. The Mission will provide participants with the opportunity to visit much of the country, with one of the highlights being the experience of Yom Ha’Zikaron and celebrating Yom Ha’Atzmaut alongside their Israeli brothers and sisters.

For many attending the Mission, the rare opportunity to meet with those whose lives have been touched by their generosity is paramount. Through day trips to CHW projects – Daycare Centres, Youth Villages and Schools, Hadassah Hospital and Assaf Harofeh Medical Centre, plus many others – participants will see first-hand how their support for Children, Healthcare and Women matters to those living in Israel.

This is the first Mission to be led by newly elected National President Claudia Goldman. Over her two-year term, Goldman will concentrate on partnership through three components: Israel, volunteers, and donors. She says, “My vision for CHW is based on the belief that each child we help is a life changed. Each woman we support is a life improved for the better. Each family we impact becomes strengthened. CHW makes it possible to fulfill the dream of making the world a better place, and we will continue to reach this goal by working hand-in-hand with our partners in Israel, our volunteers, and donors. CHW’s Mission to Israel enables us to foster these relationships.”

Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) is Canada’s leading Jewish women’s philanthropic organization. Founded in 1917, CHW is non-political, volunteer driven and funds a multitude of programs and projects for Children, Healthcare and Women in Israel and Canada. With a dynamic membership of 10,000, CHW has Centres in over 40 locations across Canada.      www.chw.ca
