Bridges for Peace Annual Winnipeg Fundraising Banquet, April 23, 2015, 6:30pm

Press Release, April 8, 2015

Millions of Canadians are discovering why we must stand with Israel and the Jewish people. As Prime Minister Stephen Harper has said, “it’s the right thing to do.”

Join us in the journey expressed in our Mission Statement: Christians supporting Israel and building relationships between Christians and Jews in Israel and around the world.

The evening program will include:

  • Guest speaker from Jerusalem, Rev. Dr. Cheryl Hauer, Bridges for Peace International Development Director.
  • Video greeting from Israel’s Consul General, D J Schneeweiss, from Toronto.
  • Greetings from Rob Berkowits, Executive Director, Jewish National Fund of Canada (Manitoba and Saskatchewan).
  • Video--Israel Independence Day.
  • Video--50th Anniversary of Dr. G. Douglas Young, founder of Bridges for Peace.

Opportunity will be given to generously bless the people and nation of Israel with your generous financial donation. Funds raised will be used for BFP Operation Ezra and Food Bank Projects assisting Israel’s needy—mainly new immigrants and the elderly who arrive with little or nothing.

Books and resources will be available.

Location: Gateway Church, 851 Panet Rd., Winnipeg.
