Dear Community Members,
 

In the wake of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal, Federations are collecting funds for emerging relief efforts. Amid a quickly rising death toll and widespread destruction in Kathmandu and the surrounding region, our partners are assessing the unfolding situation on the ground and ensure survivor’s immediate needs are addressed.
 

Through our partners, Federations have provided immediate relief and long-term assistance to victims of natural and manmade disasters around the globe, including the Philippines, Haiti, Japan, and South Asia after the Indian Ocean Tsunami, and continues to operate programs designed to rebuild infrastructure and community life in disaster-stricken regions.
 

As someone who has personally seen the impact and necessity of relief efforts from natural disasters – I had lived in New Orleans at the time of Hurricane Katrina, I can tell you that the generosity of others in a time of need is paramount.
