Don't Miss ‘In the Eye of the Beholder-An Auction of Art and Collectibles’ at Congregation Etz Chayim.

The Women's League of Congregation Etz Chayim is having a fantastic art auction on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Congregation Etz Chayim, 123 Matheson East, Winnipeg.

 

This event "In the Eye of the Beholder-An Auction of Art and Collectibles" some 225 pieces will be auctioned, including Judaica, Still life, Portraiture, Wildlife and everything in between.

 

Brenda Keller, President of the Women's League of Congregation Etz Chayim says "You will have the opportunity to bid on some truly lovely and unique pieces. We have a fine limited edition lithograph by renown Canadian artist Sheila Butler and watercolours by local artists Cathie Itscovitch and Rebecca Cramer. Donations also include other Canadian, American, Israeli and some international art. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support the community has shown us. There are sculptures, figurines and other collectibles in a large variety of styles and you are sure to find something that suits your taste."

 

She adds "Some of the art will be auctioned individually and some will be auctioned in groupings."

 

The auctioneer is Kinsey Posen. The proceeds from the auction will go towards the Women's League of Congregation Etz Chayim, with a portion going as well to Cancer Care Manitoba.

 

Admission to the event is $15.00 in advance ($18.00 at the door). "If you purchase any item over $50.00. we will credit the $15 towards your purchase, " Keller notes.

 

As well, there will be refreshments and a wine bar.

The Women's League of Congregation Etz Chayim supports various initiatives within Congregation Etz Chayim such as junior congregation, equipping parts of the kitchen, and providing a gift to Bar/Bat Mitzvah children. As well, they contribute to various local projects, for example, the sock drive for Siloam Mission. Supported by Women’s League of Congregation Etz Chayim are also the Jewish Theological Seminaries around the world.
