Rosé Soirée presents SoirIN: A Gala, fine dining and musical event, at home in support of St. Boniface Hospital on May 28-Lesley Wolman and her brother Eric Corne will both be performing

May 13,2020

Will it be black ties and ball gowns, or sweatpants and slippers?

On Thursday, May 28, the choice is yours while you savour cuisine and enjoy all-Canadian entertainment from the comfort of your home, all in support of research and patient care at St. Boniface Hospital.

St. Boniface Hospital Foundation’s inaugural Rosé Soirée in 2019 was a fundraiser like none before – a gala evening under the stars at the historic St. Boniface Cathedral Ruins, complete with gourmet dishes, signature drinks, and captivating entertainment.

This year, the signature event moves to an equally exclusive venue - your home. SoirIN features a three-course meal and signature pairings from 529 Wellington and Piazza De Nardi, all arriving fresh at your door.

“Manitobans are generous in any setting, with any dress code,” says Vince Barletta, President and CEO, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. “Attendees can kick back and enjoy the night on their terms, knowing their ticket purchase has provided much-needed support to St. Boniface Hospital.”

Louis Trepel, St. Boniface Hospital Foundation Board Member and SoirIN Co-Chair with fellow Board Members, Doug Stephen and Tom De Nardi, says the evening event will feature a wide range of top-flight Canadian talent.

“We’re thrilled with the lineup coming together - Call it a curated mix of up and comers, local favourites, and well-established acts. These will be one-time only, exclusive performances for this event.”

Gala tickets are $200 each, including dinner and concert. Purchasers will receive a secure link to view the performances online. Tickets are available at stbhf.ca and by calling 204-237-2067. While they wine and dine, ticket-holders will have access to a private video stream of exclusive musical performances by almost 20 local and Canadian artists, including:

Lesley Wolman, and her brother Eric Corne, both born and raised in Winnipeg

Lesley began her professional career as a child, performing in local theater and television. After relocating to Toronto, Lesley was featured as a soloist with the Tom DeMoraes Big Band and performed on numerous jingles and radio voiceovers. (Note that Lesley’s father is Dr. Robert Corne, a retired Cardiologist.)

Founder and President of Forty Below Records, Eric Corne is an award winning producer, engineer and songwriter with multiple Billboard Blues #1 albums to his credit. In 2020, Corne wrote and produced Sugaray Rayford's Grammy nominated "Somebody Save Me”.

Other artists include

  • Doc Walker - Award-winning and top-charting Manitoba country legends;
  • Don Amero - 3x Juno Award nominated Winnipeg singer-songwriter and storyteller;
  • Tanika Charles - 2x Juno Award nominated and 2x Polaris Prize long-listed Toronto soul singer;
  • Roman Clarke - R&B/soul singer and multi-instrumentalist;
  • Andrea Macasaet - Winnipeg-raised Filipina actor and Broadway performer;
  • Olivia Lunny - Winner of CTV's The Launch Episode 4.
