FemFest will once again feature work relevant to Winnipeg's Jewish

community. Ginny Collins will have an excerpt of her new play, commissioned

by the Winnipeg Jewish Theatre, featured in a reading at FemFest 2011:

Staging Inspiration. Good Intentions is one of six pieces being presented

during One Night Stand at FemFest.

One Night Stand is a series of selected scenes from plays in development

written by Manitoba women.

It is being directed by Cairn Moore and features playwrights Megan Andres,

FemFest 2011: Staging Inspiration on Monday, September 19 at 7 p.m.

Good Intentions is the story of two young Canadian doctors with noble

intentions who leave their country to aid those in need in the Dark

Continent. They are unaware of what they are in for and are faced with

challenges along the way.

In addition, featured in the same evening will be a new play by first time

playwright Alissa Schacter's. In Paying Treaty a Jew and a Palestinian are

held hostage on a Manitoba Highway and sparks fly as issues of politics,

identity, and the Middle East conflict are discussed.

in the development of their new works,. We would love for these two

playwrights to get feedback from the communities they are writing for and

about. We would appreciate if you could help inform your members, followers

and readers..
