National Council of Jewish Women of Canada, Winnipeg Section presented over 300 books that were collected by its members to Mulvey School on January 24. These books were distributed to each child. Michelle Glass presented the books to the Resource Coordinator, Debbi White. The Principal, Peter Correia , Vice-Principal, Bonnie McEacheran and a number of students were in attendance. Words cannot express the excitement of the students when they realized that they would be able to pick a book and take it home with them.
Many children might be able to borrow library books, but do not have books of their own to keep. It is important that all children have books in their home.
We hope to continue collecting books. If anyone has books they would like to donate, please call National Council of Jewish Women, Winnipeg Section office.
