Aidan Fishman, who is a contributer to the Winnipeg Jewish Review was elected recently to the Governing Council of University of Toronto, in a contested race.
The video above was prodcued by Fishman for the election race. [Editor's note: It is not a long video and worth watching--my favourite part is what Fishman says near the end]. Fishman will serve for one year on the Univeristy's highest governing body.
Fishman won the full-time undergraduate Arts & Science Faculty constituency, and told the U of T's student newspaper, the Varsity, that "I thought it
was going to be much closer ."
Fishman, ran on a platform based on increasing wi-fi access and eliminating breadth requirements and flat fees.
“The very first thing I’m going to work on is why wi-fi doesn’t work on university buildings after years of work,” Fishman told the Varsity.
