CHATTERLEY TO SPEAK MARCH 7 AT MIDDLE EAST WEEK AT UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG - SEE FULL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS HERE



                                            MIDDLE EAST WEEK AT UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG

 

The University of Winnipeg is hosting its second annual Middle East Week from March 4th to March 8th, 2013. Following discussions with the University of Winnipeg, B'nai Brith OnCampus is pleased to announce that they have facilitated the opportunity for Dr. Catherine Chatterley, founding director of the Canadian Institute for the Study of Antisemitism and Professor at the University of Manitoba, to speak at the symposium on Thursday, March 7th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in Convocation Hall-at Wesley Hall, 2W16.

 

We encourage all students, organizations and their members to attend Dr. Chatterley's presentation on "What is Antisemitism and How Does it Affect the Conflict in the Middle East?"

Bio: Dr. Catherine Chatterley, a respected historian of antisemitism and the Holocaust, founded the Canadian Institute for the Study of Antisemitism (CISA) in the summer of 2010. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Dr. Chatterley attended the University of Manitoba and Concordia University, and completed a doctorate at The University of Chicago specializing in modern Jewish, German, and central European history.

Dr. Chatterley will be introduced by Jordan Farber who is currently the Manager of Banking for Qualico, the largest real estate developer in Western Canada.
