The Israeli Solution: the case for Israeli Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria
The oft controversial, author and The Jerusalem Post newspaper’s Deputy Managing Editor, senior and globally popular columnist Caroline B. Glick is slated to speak as the 9th annual presenter at:
The 2014 Sol and Florence Kanee Distinguished Lecture
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 8:00 P.M.
Shaarey Zedek Synagogue
561 Wellington Crescent Winnipeg
Winnipeg will be her only Canadian stop. It follows the March 2014 release of her book “The Israeli Solution: A One-State Plan for Peace in the Middle East”.
Love her point of view or not, leaving her unheard is not an option. A must see commentator considered to be a visionary and thought leader on the Middle East. An impassioned speaker, guaranteed to impact your view of Israel. Right or left, she comes down firmly in the middle on the protection and support of Israel.
American born, Glick embodies a fierce loyalty to the State of Israel and her defenders. In 1991, she made Aliya (emigration) to Israel and served in the IDF. While an IDF Captain she served as Coordinator of Negotiations with PLO in the office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza as a core member of Israel’s negotiating team with the Palestinians. During Benjamin Netanyahu’s first tenure as Prime Minister, she served as his Foreign Policy Advisor
Her perspective is a fusion of her American upbringing and education and her life and work in Israel as a soldier and journalist.
The Sol and Florence Distinguished Lecture series has brought some of the best and brightest to Winnipeg and the world has taken notice. This year Caroline Glick will take her place at the lectern that had hosted Sir Martin Gilbert, Deborah Lipstadt, Dore Gold and Former Mossad Director Efraim Halevy as well as the most recent Albie Sachs of this year’s news maker country, South Africa.
This evening is the ONE annual fundraising event that enables The Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada to preserve, disseminate and teach the history of the Jewish people in Western Canada and to maintain museum displays, genealogical research archives and provide Holocaust education and awareness programs. http://www.jhcwc.org/
