FROM BROADWAY TO OBSCURITY PERFORMS AT WINNIPEG FRINGE FESTIVAL

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 2015

Winnipeg Studio Theatre, the company that produced the Fringe Festival hits Altar Boys, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Hersteria are thrilled to be producing the Canadian Premiere of From Broadway to Obscurity at this year’s Fringe from July 15 to 26. After 3 long years as a Gypsy in New York and on tour, Eric Gutman, one of the featured performers from Jersey Boys, is back home and ready to share his life in a new one-man show. In his run on Broadway,

Gutman, a true triple threat, performed over 1,200 shows in six different roles (including three of the Four Seasons).

From Broadway to Obscurity is a show about his fight to get to the top of his game, and then the struggle to find his place when the game ended. Using current Broadway songs as well as a parody of lyrics, Gutman tells the stories from behind the scenes of the four-time Tony and Grammy Award winning musical, Jersey Boys. A beautiful story about making hard choices for the right reasons!
