SEE THE VIDEO--JNF screens Precious Life At Shaarey Zedek on November 23-
Israeli-Palestinian doctors put aside differences to protect a child
By Erez Rotem, November 4, 2010
We at the Jewish National Fund are proud to present: "Precious Life", a film by Shlomi Eldar that was named "one of the most moving films of the past several years".
Born without an immune system, a four-month-old Palestinian boy, Mohammad Abu Mustafa, will die without a bone marrow transplant, a procedure that can only be done in an Israeli hospital. A desperate plea from his doctor to save Mohammad’s life leads Israeli journalist Shlomi Eldar to document this complex and emotional story. As Israeli and Palestinian doctors put aside their differences to protect the child, we are forced to confront the more personal ramifications of the embargo of Gaza. In my opinion this film puts the Israeli and Palestinian conflict in a different perspective.
We are happy to be able to bring this movie to Winnipeg. We are also proud to host Shlomi Eldar the Director of this amazing film who will introduce it and take questions afterward. Do not miss this opportunity!
Tickets are $18 and are available at the JNF office by calling 947-0207, or on-line by clicking on the ad, or go to manitoba.jnf.ca/preciouslife
Seating is limited.
We hope to see you all Tuesday, November 23 • 7:00 p.m., at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, 561 Wellington Crescent.
