New Jewish Choir Being Formed

A new and exciting project is underway at Congregation Shaarey Zedek. Beginning in October of 2018, a new community choir named the Winnipeg Jewish Choruswill begin rehearsing! This exciting new choral ensemble will be dedicated to the performance of Jewish choral music, among other repertoire including pop, classical, contemporary, gospel, and world music, just to name a few.

 

The Winnipeg Jewish Chorus is an inclusive choir open to anyone and everyone with an interest in singing;

  • Jews and Non-Jews
  • Members and Non-Members of Shaarey Zedek
  • Experienced and Unexperienced
  • No Audition Required to Join - just a short meeting to hear you sing and determine where you will fit in our ensemble

In short, everyone is welcome to participate!

 

The choir will meet on a weekly basis on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from October 9th, 2018 to May 28th, 2019 with many opportunities for performance throughout the season. The annual enrollment fee to participate is $200 (approximately $7 per week). Note: There will be no rehearsals 2018: Dec 18, 25; 2019: Jan 1Feb 19, Mar 26, Apr 23May 7.
