JESSICA KRAUT OF JESSICA EVENT MANAGEMENT OFFERS FULL SERVICE EVENT PLANNING FOR FUNDRAISERS, CORPORATE EVENTS, GALAS, BAR/BAT MITZVAHS, MILESTONE BIRTHDAYS AND MORE

by Rhonda Spivak, Sept 09, 2019

Four years ago, 29 year old  Jessica Kraut , an event specialist, formed her own company, Jessica Event Management (JEM) which "offers full service event planning" for fundraisers, galas, corporate events, parties, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings and more. As she says, "JEM has a team of experienced Special Event Project Managers from diverse backgrounds, who build strong and reliable relationships with our clients. Our goal at the end of the day is to deliver a unique event that is on time, on budget and stress free."
JEM specializes in events for not for profit organizations and Kraut is no stranger to the fundraising world. She worked for three years at the Jewish Federation of Ottawa, and then for four years at the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. As she says, "For the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, I helped with a number of different events put on by the CJA Campaign.  I also worked closely with the Young Adult Division (YAD) planning  fundraisers and donor appreciation events, as well as top donor and women's philanthropy events." Jessica says that her unique experience at the Jewish Federations of Ottawa and Winnipeg enables her "to be creative when planning fundraising events for not-for profits."

Jessica has been fortunate to do a lot of work with non-profit organizations in the Jewish and general community.  "We specialize in enabling non-profit organizations to recognize their donors, appreciate their staff, and come up with creative ways to help raise funds for the event and at the event."

For the Jewish Child and Family Service Community of Caring Gala event that took place in the spring of 2018, Jessica says that JEM "did everything from coordinating the event logistics, and the auction, to communicating with sponsors and putting together the tribute program booklet. For the Rady JCC Sports  Dinner in the spring of 2018 "we oversaw the live and silent auctions, communicated with sponsors, and also oversaw the recognition of sponsors."

Kraut notes that "When planning events for not for profits , there is a delicate balance in producing a great event while also being budget conscious, in order to maximize the dollars going towards the cause. What's special about JEM is that not only do we have the  ability to co-ordinate menus, decor, entertainment and the like, but we also have the ability to be creative in helping to raise funds for the event."

"I worked  with the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg for  last year's CJA Campaign Kick -Off on October 10. I partnered with them to produce what was a superb event," Kraut relates.

Jessica says even in her teens she liked to plan events. " As a teenager I was very involved with BBYO. I was organizing weekend retreats and chapter programs at that time. It came very naturally to me."

Turning to the subject of corporate events, Jessica is proud to note that "We produce corporate holiday parties, customer appreciation events, golf tournaments and more. We're affiliated with a lot of excellent suppliers and vendors in Winnipeg that are  always up to  date with the latest trends. Our relationship with them allows us to provide better pricing to our clients.”

Jessica says that "The most efficient way to meet the event management needs of your organization or company is to have a clear understanding of the event objectives, key messages and the main theme. Once understood , the theme, matched with the event objectives will fit in with the client's identity and messaging strategy throughout the entire event experience."

In addition to planning events for not for profit organizations or corporate clients, Jessica adds that "We also love the creativity of working together with families to celebrate bar/bat mitzvahs and milestone birthdays."

Jessica Event Management's website is www.jessicaeventmanagement.com and its office is located at 2727 Portage Avenue, Unit #202. Jessica's direct line is 204.298.1454 and the office line is 431.317.0101.
