The Yazidi Healing Farm is back in full swing again this year with many Yazidi volunteers (approx 40 regular volunteers) already working hard in the field to grow fruits and vegetables for their families and for our community.
Our plan this year is to continue to support many needy Yazidi families with food assistance through this program. A total of 42 families (over 250 people) will benefit from the farm this year with weekly delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables. As in past years, we will also be selling fresh produce at a pop up farmer's market from the Asper Campus parking lot.
A new web site has been set up to make this experience easier for anyone wanting to support our project and benefit from the healthy fresh produce. The web site will be updated through the season to reflect when various crops will be available at the farmer's market. You will be able to custom order your fruits and vegetables online and pick it up anytime on Thursday mornings at the Asper Campus Entrance located at 123 Doncaster Street between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm.
Check out our new website at the link below as place your order starting the week of July 12.
The first market at the Asper Campus is scheduled for Thursday July 15.
