Ben-Gurion University of the Negev accepting applications for unique MBA International Program

posted Aug 9, 2021

Canada is a nation of entrepreneurs. Based on a 2019 study conducted by the Business Development Bank of Canada, there are more than 1.1 million small and medium sized businesses in our country and they account for 90% of all private sector jobs. In addition, 10.7 million Canadians work for these businesses. They contribute approximately $1 trillion to Canada’s gross domestic product.

It is no big secret that acquiring an MBA can advance your career path. An article published by Investopedia last month suggested that MBA graduates wishing to work in a business or management related field have an edge over their competition and can earn higher salaries.

Still, with hundreds of MBA programs available worldwide, how does one choose which program will best suite one’s needs? As the world continues to metaphorically shrink, International MBA programs are becoming increasingly more popular. While graduating with an MBA can earn you a higher salary and give you an edge over the competition, earning an MBA from a program designed for international students offers the added benefit of creating a network of worldwide contacts.

The one-year MBA International Program at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) in the southern city of Be’er-Shaeva offers a comprehensive experience opening up opportunities to team up with innovative startups and train with successful entrepreneurs all while complementing your studies with an internship in Israel’s fastest-growing hi-tech hub.

In fact, students spend between five to ten hours each week for a period of five months at one of Be’er-Sheva’s cyber, software, digital-health, medical-device or cleantech startups. Meanwhile, they are also offered mentorship at the Bengis Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Yazamut 360, the university’s highly successful entrepreneurship initiative.

Be’er-Sheva is considered to be Israel’s Cyber Capital! The campus is located next to the Advanced Technologies Park which is home to startups and multi-national tech companies including IBM, Dell-EMC and Wix.

The MBA International Program at BGU is now accepting applications for the 2021/2022 cohort. Learn more by heading to: https://join.bgu.ac.il/mba-in-israel/
