BOYS TOWN JERUSALEM SUMMER CAMP ISN’T A LUXURY, IT’S AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY PROVIDING A BOOST OF FUN, ACTIVITY AND LEARNING!

May 24, 2022

Boys Town Jerusalem is committed to filling their students’ schooldays with the finest education, three wholesome meals a day, extracurricular activities and a caring, loving professional staff.

But summer vacation can spell disaster for boys-at-risk. Once the school year ends, home is unbearable. Many of these youngsters come from a background filled with poverty, unemployment, family strife, and other hardships. With little or no food, stimulation, activities, or friends nearby, the boys face a long boring and unproductive summer and the streets are a tempting, menacing alternative.

For the hundreds of kids who attend the Boys Town Jerusalem summer camp,

the experience is a dream come true.

The time at camp helps lighten the difficult burden that they carry.

Their days are filled with outings to the zoo, bowling, race car driving and laser tag. There are also scavenger hunts, sports events, art and crafts and other activities held on campus.

Nourishing and delicious breakfast and lunch are also provided. For some, these are the only good meals they get each day.

BTJ’s Summer Camp also includes tutoring to ensure the students maintain the education gains from the school year and so they have a head start when school resumes in the fall.

“Each summer, the day camp fills a vital role in the lives of our students whose homes are extraordinarily tense and difficult. Just look, you can see the boys’ enthusiasm and smiles,” notes BTJ Junior High Principal Rabbi Yehudah Rosencrantz.

YOUR support is needed to enable BTJ to continue to provide the wholesome, nurturing environment to fill their students’ summer days to the maximum. Because their family’s finances are already badly strained, Boys Town Jerusalem must absorb the $280 cost per boy. Yet the rewards are priceless.

Please help sponsor a Boys Town Jerusalem student.

Only $280 can be the gift of a lifetime!

Thank you in advance. Best wishes for a healthy and pleasant summer.
