Bridges for Peace Offers Unwavering Support to Israel; Condemns Terrorism

posted Oct 16, 2023

Winnipeg, October 16th, 2023 - Bridges for Peace, a Christian organization dedicated to supporting Israel and representing thousands of Christians in Canada, hundreds of churches from various denominations, and tens of thousands of Christians globally, extends its deepest grief and genuine sympathy to the Jewish community worldwide.

Our hearts are heavy, and our tears flow with yours. We extend our heartfelt support for the nation of Israel. Christians from various corners of the world have united to extend their profound solidarity and prayers to Israel during these challenging times. Bridges for Peace emphasizes its shared commitment to Israel, grounded not only in faith but also in the principles of humanity, justice, and peace. This underscores our dedication to moral and ethical principles, compelling us to stand together and condemn such heinous acts.

The global Christian community is saddened to see rallies taking place in Canada in support of the Hamas terrorist organization. These rallies are condemned in the strongest terms by the Christian community, which firmly rejects any support for terrorism. Bridges for Peace believes that terrorism knows no borders and stands firmly against any form of violence and terror.

Furthermore, there is no place for antisemitism. Jewish people in Canada must feel safe and protected, without facing any threats. Christian churches and communities have organized prayer gatherings, vigils, and are engaging in fasting and prayer for the protection, peace, and well-being of Israel and its people. Bridges for Peace is also actively engaged in providing humanitarian assistance through its international team of volunteers on the ground. They are mobilizing food, clothing, medical supplies, and emergency relief efforts to address the immediate needs of those affected by the recent conflict.

Additionally, fundraising initiatives have been launched to support the installation of new bomb shelters, the purchase of ambulances, and the provision of other essential services.

As an expression of our deep empathy and solidarity, the Bridges for Peace community draws inspiration from the Scripture, Isaiah 41:10: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Bridges for Peace remains steadfast in its support, offering hope, healing, and unity during these tragic times. For more information, please visit  www.bridgesforpeace.com?
