From Clutter To Clarity: Maximizing Space With Storage Sheds & Junk Removal

Jan 2, 2023

A home that feels lived-in is almost always a blessing; a home that feels so cluttered that you can’t find what you’re looking for is a stressor. In this article, we’ll explore two ways you can reduce clutter—hiring a junk removal service and purchasing a storage shed:

Junk Removal Services: More Than Just Dumpsters

When most people think of junk removal services, they’re probably imagining a group pulling up with a portable dumpster, hauling junk from a construction site or loading old appliances, throwing it all into a dumpster, and then leaving.

The truth is junk removal services do far more than just throw away junk. You can hire a junk removal service to help with hoarding issues, estate cleanouts, and heavy-duty home cleaning.

A good junk removal service will recycle or donate items that can be diverted from landfills. It can also connect you with appraisers and other dealers to sell valuables, like jewellery and collectibles. You can, in essence, treat some junk removal services like spring cleaning services—they can help you sort through valuables, recyclables, donatables, and junk.

Once everything is sorted, the junk removal service will move all items you don’t wish to keep off your property. You can eliminate a substantial amount of clutter just by hiring a junk removal service.

Storage Sheds: Expanding Your Storage Space

When your home is cluttered, there’s an obvious option: Get more storage space. You can always rent a storage locker, but doing so can limit how quickly you can access your belongings.

Provided you have the space, consider buying a storage shed. There are sheds in a wide variety of sizes and styles. Many storage sheds feature integrated storage options, like hooks and shelves—though if you want to save money, it’s usually best to buy the storage shed without these options and then add them yourself.

Sheds can be constructed with features like surface-mounted electrical or large windows; these sheds can function as more than just an extra place for storage. Imagine you have a bunch of equipment used for woodworking projects—by getting the right shed, you can create a whole woodworking workshop for yourself. The same goes for gardening projects and activities of various kinds—a good shed can help you declutter your space, all while creating a new space for you to focus on your craft.

You can purchase a deluxe shed in Manitoba, or you can buy a smaller shed—it will all depend on your needs. One thing is for certain, though—a good shed will help you reduce clutter.

Conclusion

By hiring a junk removal service and purchasing a shed, you can expand your options for decluttering and create a beautiful space in which to live and work. Decluttering brings clarity—it helps you define which spaces on your property are for which tasks. Other methods, like the ideas of Marie Kondo, can help let go of clutter, too.

We recommend trying to declutter your home every spring—by doing a deep clean and decluttering at least once a year, you can renew your focus on the things that matter most to you. That’s clarity!
